Quick Start Step 1: Upload a DNA File

( This step more suitable to: Essential plan users & and our business partners only)

After setting up your Genaty account, the next important step is to complete your profile information. This is essential for tailoring a unique and personalized experience, as it allows us to customize your results based on the detailed profile you provide.


Please fill out the profile information module:

Note: Height and weight are optional, but including them helps enhance the customization of your experience!

Once your profile is set up, you're ready to upload your DNA file!

If you have purchased a Genaty DNA test kit, you can skip this step. Just wait for your results to arrive (we'll notify you via email), and then you can proceed to Quick Start Step 2. Please avoid uploading a DNA file at this stage as it could interfere with the processing of your test results.

While waiting for your results, we recommend moving on to Quick Start Steps 3 and 4. 😊


Uploading Your Raw DNA File to Genaty:

  • Download your raw DNA file from the service where you had your DNA tested. Most companies provide instructions on their websites for downloading your raw DNA file. A quick search or contacting their customer support can also be helpful. Our support team is ready to assist at support@genaty.ai

  • Log into your Genaty account—you’ll be prompted automatically to upload your DNA file.

What file formats do we accept?

We support raw DNA files in the following formats: .txt, .csv, .zip, and .gz.

Additionally, we accept SNP VCF files from Dante Labs & Nebula.

If you have a file in a different format and would like to check if it can be processed by Genaty, please email the file to support@genaty.ai and we will evaluate its compatibility.

Please note that having your file in one of the supported formats does not automatically guarantee compatibility. If you encounter an error upon uploading your file, please send it to support@genaty.ai and we will assess and address the issue.

If you need some time to obtain your file, there’s an option to upload it later.

If you find that you don’t have a DNA file from a compatible service, you can order a DNA test kit directly from us:

  • If you are not prompted automatically to upload your DNA file, simply go to 'Analyze DNA File' on your dashboard.
  • Select 'Browse' to choose your raw DNA file from your device (or drag and drop the file), select the name of the DNA analysis service from the dropdown menu, and click 'Upload File'.

As your DNA file is scanned, take a moment to complete our health questionnaires. Your responses help us understand your priorities and tailor your experience. Rest assured, your answers are used solely for customization purposes.

It normally takes a few hours to scan your file as we analyze over 83 million genetic variants to create your personalized reports. You don’t need to wait; you can close the window, and we will email you once your analysis is complete.
